Back in ancient times, many centuries before the first priests of the Greater Gods Idior and Elhoim began professing their beliefs about Sosaria, decades before that the Elven spellcasters understood how to bend the energy of Chaos to their will by creating what is now known as Magic , in that forgotten past Nature reigned supreme, magnificent and indomitable.
The first inhabitants of Sosaria, mainly the ancient elven and orcish tribes that settled in the territories to the north of Britannia, worshiped the primal spirits of the Earth, Sky, Wind and Water. Rarely, they also drew power from them. It was a very different power from the arcane one, the violent forces of chaos were not invoked. The enchanter instead, was perfectly in tune with the surrounding world, a connection so intense that he was able to bend it to his will, to shape it.
Those who succeeded in this practice, the heralds of nature or the first sorcerers, were known in tribal societies with the title of Druids. These were mysterious individuals, who had survived a very long period of training in complete isolation and in contact only with the surrounding environment.
For centuries and centuries, this form of energy was the only force that the mortal beings, our very ancestors, wielded against the demonic armies and any other enemy they had to face, until the advent of magic. With the emergence of magical colleges and wizards' orders, the mysterious Druidic knowledge was increasingly marginalized, until it was declared a form of heresy.
But the voice of nature may not be silenced...
The druids persisted, rejected and hunted everywhere they went. For countless years they have remained the banned custodians of ancient knowledge such as Sosaria itself and now, at this moment that sees the forces of chaos dominating everything, they have returned to restore the balance of things.

DESCRIPTION:

A Druid spellcaster is a formidable opponent, capable to bend the very energies of the nature around him to inflict massive damage on his enemies, summon fearsome allies or heal deadly wounds.

The deep bond with living creatures is the main characteristic of each Druid: with a handful of words of power, he is able to calm the anger of wild creatures for a short time, also it has at its disposal a wide range of familiars, creatures capable of unleashing their fury on the spellcaster's enemy and particularly effective on certain targets.

But the Druid is himself a vehicle of mother earth's power. By invoking his power, he can blend perfectly in the forests, or even escape death, if the Reaper reaches him while he is under the effect of the Gift of Life spell!

These, and many others, are the characteristics that make the Druid a unique class of its kind.

* Druids may not use any type of weapon, except for tools.
* Druids may not wear any type of armor.

You will need at least 70 in Animal Lore skill to be Druid.
